Golspie is 54 miles North of Inverness and is the first town the A9 goes through.
The Ben is situated on the A9 on the north side of Golspie. If driving from Inverness, pass through the Main Street, and after the Orcadian Stone Exhibition, there is a bend. At this point, slow down and indicate to turn to your left. The Ben is just on the other side of this bend.
The Ben is on the doorstep of Dunrobin Castle and The Big Burn Walk. It is a mile away from Golspie Golf Course and 7 miles from the Brora Golf Course.
The Area is popular for Hill walking on the Ben Bhragghie where the 125 foot high statue of The First Duke of Sutherland is situated. The Ben Bhraggie summit stands at 1380 feet above sea level. The Ben Bhraggie is also home to the Highland Wildcat MTB Trails and is a very popular track as it offers the longest downhill track.
